about

Listen carefully. Curious, wordless voices weave magical spells among electric investigations. Steady, heady hip-hop beats dance beneath thick, rich piano. An African water drum thumped under glassy, astral synthesizers speaks of ancient patience through passive catalysts. Glistening sympathies announce, "Now it is time to put aside all that gloom," and obedient ears prepare themselves for untethered revelations.

Sitting at the mouth of New York Harbor, all thoughts are welcome in the land of Shaolin, or Staten Island if you prefer, where roosting ruminations ponder truth-seeking seclusion. Choreographed passions balance woke emotions beside rhythmic premonitions. Wary prayers share cascading keyboards with liquid bass to shake off speechless demons, feeding parched hearts in heavenly speculation.

Exploring complex depths with deft reflexes, even the simplest phrases are backed by wise choices from Bruce's intuitive grooviness. Soulful impulses seek enlightened connections from unforeseen directions, unveiling karmic harmonies in a ripe fusion of deep jazz, funky rock and international beats. It makes sense instruments both old and new coexist in this meandering musical meditation as does the impromptu nature of the recording, for, "Lo-fi Exploits," burns with timeless concern as lyrics both personal and profound lounge grounded in sage outrage, tender questioning and cleansing surrender.
