A song that protests against the blatant hatred, racism, and brutality directed at Black People by officers of the law that often results in the death of Black People.
The bigger issue that warrants this protest is the fact that the leadership of America is not even speaking out against it, which makes it seem like an "open season" on Black folk has been sanctioned particularly since there are now citizens taking it upon themselves to harass and execute Black People on the street, in their homes while resting, walking, while reporting, working with ambulatory services, even black people working for the law!
Well, whether it is or not sanctioned, Black folk are tired of trusting that there will be a change especially in the U.S. with a "global leader" that encourages this type of behavior. It is time to defend ourselves , police the police, monitor anyone or other group who expresses that same sentiment and thinks they can handle Black folk any way they see fit. Black People (are) Tired of being Sick & Tired of being Harassed and Killed! Sick and Tired of The Hatred, Sick and Tired of Giving a Pass, Sick and Tired of Hearing the Analysis of "Why" Hateful White People Will Take Their Anger Out on Us and Shoot Up a Black Church! I Personally No Longer Care About People Who are not willing to Uplift Themselves From The Ignorance They Have Been Taught. We can No Longer waste Our Lives Trying To Understand That. There Is More To Life and We Need To Be a Part of LIFE. Fuck anyone who disagrees with that! BLACK PEOPLE TIRED!!!
lyrics
Black People so tired, tired, tired
Sick and tired of this hate, hate, hate
Black People so tired, tired, tired
Of all this hate, hate, hate
I just don't know why it's taken us so long
To fight back!
We get killed for trying to save somebody
We get killed for being in our homes
We get killed for looking like somebody
We get killed for jogging alone
We get killed for speaking our minds
We get killed for upholding the law
We get killed for standing up for our rights
But i don't think we can take it no more
Black People so tired, tired, tired
Sick and tired of this hate, hate, hate
Black People so tired, tired, tired
Of all this hate, hate, hate
I just don't know why it's taken us so long
To fight back!
(Can you feel the pain?)
What is a human supposed to do
If you can't relate, it's because you're not in this picture
You ain't living in a real, real world (at least not in the one I live in)
You think I got it good 'cause I got a job,
Ain't nobody pickin' on me
You got some kind of nerve if you think for one moment
I can't feel what my people feel.
Black People so tired, tired, tired
Sick and tired of this hate, hate, hate
Black People so tired, tired, tired
Of all this hate, hate, hate
I just don't know why it's taken us so long
To fight back!

This is a great record because the songs are crafted well, the playing is excellent, and the album concept is cohesive with the songs and the personality of the band's leader Shelley Nicole Jefferson. Bruce Mack
